There is a lack of support (particularly inexpensive support) for women and men suffering from anorexia, bulimia, ednos, and other eating disorders in the area, without having to travel up to Boston! Now, there is a place for those struggling with eating disorders or who are in recovery and need support right here in Knoxville. Although the meetup group takes away the anonymity of EDA, it's a good way to get the word out for others to share.

This is a new friendly, casual group with no admission fees, no dues, no facilitator and almost no structure. The plan is to sit, talk, eat, drink and share experiences. We are men, women, Bipolar I, Bipolar II, medicated, un-medicated, you name it. The group will meet every other Thursday at 7:00 pm in Hingham, MA. Check the calendar for exact dates.

This group is for anyone struggling with Food Addiction. I want to start a group where we can partner up and hold each other accountable through phone calling and email. We would meet one time a month for weigh-ins and discussions about what did and did not work. My hope would be to create a meal plan as a group as a way to keeping track with the group. I believe with group support we can conquer our addictions. Laura
